Our Network Bethesda meeting last week was an open forum discussing employees. You know, it was about the hiring, firing, care and feeding of them, from a small owner perspective.
Somehow, the discussion veered off into the use of technology, to help manage calendars, tasks, discussions, etc. One person said they used SLACK. Another said they used MS Teams. A third said that the software which helps to run their business, has something similar but they don’t use it. A fourth mentioned an application that I had not even heard of, nor can I remember the name.
Even though I am a firm of “one,” I chirped in and said to everyone:
“It does not matter what you use, as long as what you use works for you. If a pencil and a sheet of paper works best, or a white board and marker does the trick, then use it. Use what works best and stick with it.”
Keep it Simple, Stupid.
