Foolish Thoughts #15C: The US Army Core Values and You - Respect

Updated: Nov 14, 2019

This is part of a series of postings reflecting on my experiences, based on the US Army’s Core Values.

Treating people as they should be treated is how RESPECT is defined the Soldier's Code.

Today, we hear a great deal about respecting others and that is important. Nevertheless, one part of Respect is that of SELF-RESPECT. It results from knowing you have put forth your best effort.

At the end of each day, can you say to yourself the following: I have done the best that I can at work, at home, in my relationships, etc. If you cannot, do you take a moment to ask yourself, what you could have done different to do your best.
